Win new business for a North American portfolio of fulfillment, transportation and payment solutions. This is a new-logo hunting role. Your job is to open doors at retail and consumer brands, build the case for outsourcing their logistics, and close complex, high-value contracts.
You will work with brand and retail leaders, from VP and C-level down to the operations, supply chain and IT people who influence the decision. You will build target-account plans, bring in pre-sales and professional services at the right moment, and cross-sell into existing clients where it makes sense.
What You’ll Do
- Run the full sales cycle to land new retail and brand clients, from first conversation to signed contract
- Build named-account strategies and practical plans to get inside your target accounts
- Develop relationships at the VP and C-level
- Build value propositions around ROI and cost-benefit analysis
- Prospect, qualify and close new business against annual revenue targets
- Cross-sell into existing clients to exceed your number
- Bring in pre-sales and professional services teams at the right stage of the deal
- Keep sales forecasts accurate and current
- Nurture relationships with third-party partners
Background Needed
- 5+ years selling 3PL warehousing and fulfillment solutions to mid-market and enterprise retail customers
- Direct sales experience with health and beauty or cosmetics brands
- Proven record of prospecting, negotiating and closing $10M+ deals, with a history of hitting quota
- Working knowledge of B2B and B2C fulfillment, retail replenishment and returns
- Understanding of retail industry dynamics, cost drivers and customer needs
- Track record selling to business, technical, operations, IT and C-level buyers in the same deal
- Ability to learn a value proposition quickly and explain it clearly
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and organizational skills, with attention to detail
- Self-starter who can work independently and find a way into accounts through relationships and experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
- Work authorization: no visa sponsorship now or in the future
Also Valuable
- Experience with value-added services (VAS), peak season management, automation and multi-node fulfillment networks
- Sales experience across other consumer categories, such as CPG, apparel, electronics, home and food
What This Role Is Not
Transportation-only sales and internal warehouse operations experience do not meet the requirements. This is a hands-on new business role.
